Packing & Shipping Specimens

SAMPLE PREPARATION – PERIPHERAL BLOOD

1. Sample Collection –Draw sufficient blood to fill the required CEE-Sure^TM  tubes.  Gently invert the tube 5 times.  Use only the tubes provided.  DO NOT refrigerate the specimen.  Keep at room temperature.  Note:  Tube expiration date is identified on the outside of the shipper and on the CEE-Sure^TM tube. If the tubes are expired, please contact Customer Service at Biocept.  Label the tube(s) with the date of draw.
    
2. Packaging– Place CEE-Sure^TM tubes into the designated plastic containers.  Place the containers within the shipping mailer kit.  Place the temperature gel packs on top of the containers.  Place the patient requisition/billing information data within the kit and then close the mailer. 
    
3. Shipping the Sample– Place the mailer within the FedEx bag and seal the bag.  Contact FedEx (800-G0-FEDEX) to schedule a pickup.
